Service Department

The Service Department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the Village’s lands, roads and buildings. This includes road drains, ditches, and storm
sewers, as well as parks, playgrounds, the Greenway Trail, Parkview Pool and
all public indoor and outdoor spaces.  In the winter, one of the Department’s main functions is to keep roadways clear of snow and ice by plowing and spreading traction material, or salt.  Spring and summer hours are devoted to maintaining grass and landscaping at all Village properties.  All year long, Service Department personnel perform a variety of other tasks from cleaning up debris after storms, to setting up tables, chairs and equipment for meetings and special events.
