Drainage and Infrastructure

Mayfield Village is in both the Chagrin River Watershed and the Euclid Creek Watershed. A watershed is the land that water flows across or under as it makes its way to a stream, river or lake. Water crosses fields, forestland, lawns, and city streets. Most of it is channeled through ditches and storm sewers while some seeps into the soil to travel as ground water.

As a resident, you can help keep our waterways clean. Chagrin Watershed Partners and Euclid Creek Watershed offer many helpful tips to the homeowner to join in the effort. There is a list of activities, seminars, and volunteer opportunities for people who would like to get more involved. Please click on the links below for more information.
