MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL

Monday, February 3, 2014 – Immediately Following Caucus

The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session at Mayfield Village Civic Hall on Monday, February 3, 2014 immediately following Caucus.  Council President Buckholtz called the meeting to order at 8:12 p.m.

ROLL CALL: 

Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Jerome, Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Marrie and Dr. Parker

Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Wynne, Ms. Calta, Mr. Cappello, Lieutenant Jablonski, Mr. Metzung, Mr. Marrelli, Chief Carcioppolo, Mr. Esborn, Mr. Dinardo, Ms. Wolgamuth, and Mrs. Betsa

Absent: Mr. Delguyd and Thomas

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

OPEN PORTION:

3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. (The public is requested to limit their discussion to agenda items only.)

A gentleman in the audience was asked to introduce himself. 

Matthew Dickard just graduated from John Carroll with a major in philosophy and a minor in political science.  I am looking to see where I might be able to get my foot in the door in political office here in Mayfield Village or elsewhere.  I am here to gain some information on that.

Motion to go into Executive Session relative to personnel matters regarding collective bargaining.

Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to go into Executive Session relative to personnel matters regarding collective bargaining.

NAYS: None             

Motion Carried.     

Council President Buckholtz advised everyone that since Council won’t be voting on anything when we return and I don’t know how long this session will last, if it’s okay with the Mayor, it’s okay for me to let department heads head out of here. 

Council left for Executive Session at 8:14 p.m.

Council reconvened at 8:45 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to adjourn.

The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. The next Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 8:00 p.m.
